Edit | Material
This command helps user to change the material properties of model independent of CAE results. To visualize modification on material, CAE result values should not be applied on the model. Practicing this command with geometry only file is preferable.

1. Hide CAE results from the model if it exists.

How to hide CAE results from the model:

  • Go to Product Explorer
  • Choose a shape node from the current frame.
  • Right click on it and choose Properties.
  • It pops up Shape Properties dialog box as below
  • In Material Tab, Choose NO_COLOR_MATERIAL in Material mode drop down.
  • Repeat this process for all shapes.

    Current Frame:

    After hiding CAE data from the model, current frame shows only geometry with basic material color as below.

     

    2. Click Edit | Material in main menu

    It pops up Material Editor dialog box as below

  • Choose Ambient / Diffuse / Emissive / Specular color

  • Modify its RGB values using slider or edit box

  • Modify Shininess, Transparency and Ambient Intensity.
