Edit | Lights

This option helps user to modify existing lights in the scene or to create a user defined light.

1. Click Edit | Lights

It pops up Light Control Dialog box as below

  • Name - list of available lights. user has to choose the light to modify.

  • On Switch - User can switch On/Off a particular light.

  • Type - specifies the type of light. (point/spot/directional)

  • Intensity - User can modify the intensity of light using edit box and slider between 0 and 1

  • Ambient Intensity - User can modify ambient intensity of light using edit box and slider between 0 and 1

  • Color - specifies the color of the light. User can modify this color by changing values of 3 edit boxes (R, G, B) between 0 and 1.

  • Location - specifies the location of light. This is not applicable for Directional light.

  • Radius - specifies radius of spherical volume, the light should cover. This is not applicable for Directional light.

  • Attenuation - ?

  • Direction - specifies the direction of the light intensity. This is not applicable for point light.

  • Exponent - ?

  • Cutoff Angle - Angle of projection cone. This is applicable for spot light only.

 

Creating New Light:

Click Create New button: It pops up Create Light Dialog box.

  • Name - Name of the light to be created.

  • Type - choose type of light (Point / Spot / Directional)

Click OK.
