Engines | Add Notes
 

This option helps user to add notes in viewer window as labels. There are two options to position the added notes.

  1. Position having annotation with geometry
  2. Fixed Position in the Screen
1. Click Engines | Add Notes

It pops up Add notes Dialog Box. Enter text you want.

click OK and click the position of label in the viewer window. Now the label is  positioned but still annotation pointer moves with  mouse move. User has to click a point in the geometry to complete this task. Click in geometry. Now the label with annotation point to geometry is displayed as below.

 

Note: Look at the Test Note label. If you checked the option Fixed position in Add Notes Dialog Box, then there will not be annotation.

 

Engines | Move Labels / Notes
This option helps user to move labels and notes according to his convenience. Over lapping of labels and notes could be avoided.

1. Click Engines | Move Labels / Notes

This enables user to move labels / Notes. User has to just click any point on the label and  move the mouse to another position and then another click to end the task.

Engines | Delete Labels / Notes

1. Click Engines | Delete Labels / Notes

It consists of 4 options

  • By Selection - click a label / note to be deleted
  • All Notes - to delete all Notes only not labels
  • All Labels - to delete all Labels only not labels
  • All Notes and Labels - to delete all notes and labels

Engines | Hide Labels / Notes
This option helps user to Hide labels and notes .

1. Click Engines | Hide Labels / Notes

Once this feature is enabled, the selected label/notes by left mouse click will be hidden.
 

Engines | Labels / Notes List...
This option helps user to edit and modify Labels and Notes.

1. Click Engines | Labels / Notes List

It pops up Labels List Dialog box as below

  • Show Visible Labels Only -  displays the labels which has annotation with visible nodes

  • Invert - Invert Selection in the list.

  • Delete - Selected list will be deleted

  • Save - Saves the hotspots into a hotspot file

  • Show - displays the selection

  • Hide - hide the selected list

  • Multiple Probe Labels - provides user to select multiple probe values

  • Label Size - provides three size for labels small, medium and large respectively

  • Update Automatically - enables to update viewer while user dealt with the dialog.

  • Label Info - applicable for From File only and displays the header and  nodal information.

This dialog contains 3 List of labels

  1. Probe List - List of Probe labels only

  2. Notes - List of Notes  and hotspot - short name notes only

  3. From File - Merged hotspot labels.

  • Click Labels List

 

 
Notes:

User can edit the Notes by double clicking a note in the list. It pops up Add Note Dialog box with the same contents.

If user modifies Hotspot data note, then it affects format of hotspot data labels also. The figure below displays effect of modification in hotspot data note.
