Load CAE Hotspot
file
In this exercise, we will merge CAE results with existing model.
This option is enabled if a model exists already.
Select File | Merge from the Main menu (Ctrl+I from Keyboard).
This command pops up a File Selection dialog box with hierarchical
tree of files and folders. In the “files of type” field, select the
file format to be loaded as VCollab Hotspot Info Files
(*.grouped,*.Hotspot)
Select the file “bracket2_design1.hotspot” .This command pops up Merge Hotspots
dialog box with title and two result regions, one is Selected
and the other is Unselected region. By default, all results
will be in selected region. User can move the results between two
regions using left and right arrow buttons provided in between two
regions.
User can reorder the results
appearing in selected region.
How To Reorder Results
Move all results from Selected region
to UnSelected Region using right arrow button ( -> ).
Move the results back to Selected
region one by one in the order you want using left arrow button ( <-
).
Edit Short Names for Results
Double click a result to edit short name. it will popup a Dialog
which consists of result name and its default short name. short name
can be edited.
Repeat it for all results if necessary and then close dialog box.
Click Ok on Merge Hotspots dialog box.
The model gets merged and hotspots
are displayed in the Viewer Window.
The Fig 1 is a snapshot of the Viewer Window with the hotspots
displayed. Hotspot label consist of title and each result separated
by slashes. e.g. title1/res1/res2/res3
