Translating LS DYNA (d3plot) file into VCZ file using VMoveCAE

Steps to translate a d3plot file to vcz format

1. Read native LS-Dyna file (d3plot)

2. Choose results to be extracted

3. Specify the result type to be extracted

4. Specify Animation settings

5. Specify Deformation Settings

6. Specify Normals and other Mesh Settings

7. Specify Misc. Settings

8. Specify File Path for output file and log file

9. Click Translate button

Step1: Read native LS-Dyna File

Click on the File Open button to open the CAE native File.
 
Go to C:\ProgramFiles\VMoveCAE\Samples directory
 
Choose Files of Type as ‘Ls-Dyna D3plot files’
 
This would list all the d3plot files available in the directory
 
Choose the d3plot file
 
This would open up the d3plot results file and display all the available results in the ‘Results List Box’
 
Please note that all the results at various load cases or time steps or mode shapes are displayed as a single list in the ‘results’ list box as follows:
 
Displacement L1M0
Velocity L1M0
Acceleration L1M0
Stress L1M0

Note:

L1M0 refers to Load Case 1 and Mode Case 0.
Results list box lists all the results available in the d3plot file including vectors and scalars.
