Step2: Choose results to be extracted

Once the CAE results file is read, all the result data sets that is present in the native CAE results file are extracted and displayed in the results list box. Pick “Displacement L1M0” results set from the list box and convert that into VCZ file.

Step3: Specify the result type to be extracted

Click User Settings button to choose derived types. It pops up a dialog which contains all derived types according to the results chosen in above step.Once the user selects the result set, he now needs to specify the appropriate Vector type or Tensor type based on the result set chosen earlier.

User can

  • choose multiple derived types

  • edit default values of Min and Max of results and

  • edit type of legend into default or reverse.

Step4: Specify Animation settings

Users can extract two types of animations as follows.

  • Linear

  • Transient

Linear:  All the linear analysis results can be animated in two ways.

(0 to 1) - Non harmonic animation

( -1 to +1 ) - Harmonic animation

In case of linear animation, VMoveCAE computes the intermediate key frames based on the user specified number of frames.   User can also specify whether he wants to see the varying fringe or static fringe during the linear animation. The default is the static fringe.  In the case of the static fringe, all the frames would show the same fringe during the animation.

Transient: One can choose one of the result types from the results list box. VMoveCAE automatically pick up all the other time steps for the same result type and create the VCB file with all those frames. However, the file size can be reduced by leaving out some of the intermediate frames by specifying “Skip By" filed. The other way of picking up only a selected few frames of users choice is to press ctrl button on the keyboard and manually select only those frames of your interest.  For this example, let us pick Transient and Load 1 Mode 0 Displacement and the value for Skip By as 0. This would create a VCZ file for the displacement result type with the animation of all the time steps.
