Experience in full vehicle crash model setup for USNCAP and IIHS using Primer. Experience with FMVSS, IIHS, European safety regulations and performance targets. Performed CAE simulations to evaluate full vehicle crashworthiness for frontal, offset, side and rear load cases using LS-DYNA (USNCAP, IIHS and FMVSS). Perform CAE simulations for crash and impact using LS-DYNA to establish energy absorption and displacement targets on vehicle sub-systems. Provide technical support for Meshworks Morpher. Achieve mass savings through various optimization techniques like: topology, shape, gauge, weld parameterization, lattice optimization, lightweight materials, DOE study, control block/freeform morphing, etc. Use advanced CAE tools and methods (Meshworks, genesis and optistruct) to optimize design and meet vehicle performance via influencing parameters such as topology, gauge, shape, weld/adhesive locations, lightweight materials, etc. under various load cases including static/durability/NVH. Use generative design approach to generate multiple topology designs for the components. (From CAE to direct 3D print) Utilize OEM safety CAE standard work procedures for all simulations for assuring high quality models. Assist in manufacturing of plain weave composite panels using compression molding and VARTM techniques.
